印度官员今天表示，北部两省过去24小时频传雷击事件，造成至少38人丧生。

美联社报导，印度警方表示，多数死亡事件发生在西北部拉吉斯坦省（Rajasthan），有11人在琥珀堡（AmberFort）一处瞭望台附近遭逢雷击丧命。

一名警官表示，昨天发生雷击时，有些罹难者曾在瞭望台附近自拍。这名警官还说，拉吉斯坦省受到大雷雨侵袭，另有9人在不同的雷击事件中丧生，还有近20人受伤。

一名政府官员说，北方省（Uttar Pradesh）昨天有18人因雷击丧生，大多是在户外工作的农业劳工。

两省政府都宣布对罹难者家属和伤者提供补偿金。

印度气象局已警告未来两天会有更多雷击状况。
